Famille rose long-necked vase with Wushuangpu (Peerless Heroes) figure patterns, Daoguang or Xianfeng Qing Dynasty(1821-1850/1851-1861)

Famille rose long-necked vases with figures from the "Unrivaled Spectrum" series (a pair), Daoguang (or Xianfeng) period, Qing Dynasty.

Adopting the "Unrivaled Spectrum" theme craftsmanship of "famille rose painted figures + ink inscriptions," the famille rose of the Daoguang-Xianfeng period features soft colors (distinguished from the intense hues of Qianlong famille rose) and a delicate, pure white body.

Authentic pieces of the Daoguang-Xianfeng period (intact pair condition): as high-quality famille rose works of the mid-late Qing Dynasty, paired long-necked vases with the "Unrivaled Spectrum" theme are scarce in existence.

Figure images: depicting historically "unrivaled" celebrities (e.g., a military general on the left vase and a civil official on the right vase), paired with corresponding costumes and props (the general wearing armor, the civil official holding utensils).

Inscriptions and decorations: ink inscriptions beside the figures introduce their identities (e.g., "Madam XX" or "General XX"). Complemented by auxiliary patterns such as heart-shaped / peach-shaped openwork frames (with the figures' life stories inscribed inside), auspicious clouds, and mythical beasts (e.g., kylins). These elements not only clarify the figures' identities but also reinforce the implication of "auspiciousness and virtue."
