Famille rose washer with dragon pattern, Qianlong Qing Dynasty(1736-1795)

It has a shape characterized by an open mouth, a shallow belly, and a ring foot (or three feet). The overall shape is flat, round, and spacious, serving as a scholar's desk utensil (used for holding water to grind ink) or a tabletop decorative piece. This specific water washer is equipped with three feet (small feet are visible at the bottom). The rim is decorated with a gold-traced edge and yazhi pattern (fine, continuous geometric carving) trim, and the inner wall is coated with peacock green glaze — all of which conform to the "gorgeous and intricate" porcelain-making style of the Qianlong period in the Qing Dynasty.

Main decorative patterns: famille rose (or enamel) dragon patterns combined with "hundred-flower patterns." The dragon patterns serve as the main motifs, interspersed with flowers such as chrysanthemums and peonies. The colors are bright and vivid, creating a rich and vibrant visual effect.

Rim decoration: adorned with yazhi patterns (fine, continuous geometric patterns) and gold-traced edges. The inner wall is coated with peacock green glaze, which has a bright and vivid luster — highlighting the luxurious texture of the water washer.

It adopts famille rose or enamel craftsmanship. The colors are rich and vivid. The dragon patterns are exquisitely depicted — with clear details of dragon scales on the dragon's body and fine details of the accompanying flowers. The yazhi pattern (fine carved geometric pattern) is a typical decorative technique of the Qianlong period in the Qing Dynasty.

The dragon patterns are presented in either a "nine-dragon" or "single-dragon" style, paired with hundred-flower patterns. This combination embodies the "magnificent and grand" style unique to imperial court porcelain.
