Its production requires superb shaping and firing techniques, which embody the porcelain-making technology of the era.Body and glaze:Porcelain body: if it dates from the Ming Dynasty, the body is thick, heavy, and firm; during the Qing Dynasty, as craftsmanship matured, the porcelain body became finer and more delicate.Glaze: the glaze surface is smooth and lustrous. The color of the underglaze blue depends on the cobalt pigment used — for example, the Ming Dynasty employed "sumaliqing" (imported cobalt pigment) or domestic cobalt pigments, while the Qing Dynasty used a variety of cobalt materials. The underglaze blue on this vat exhibits a subtle gradation of shades, which contrasts beautifully with the white glaze, exuding a simple and antique charm.Underglaze blue decoration & firing difficulty:The underglaze blue patterns are exquisitely painted: the child-play scenes, figures, and supporting landscapes feature smooth lines and vivid details, demonstrating the craftsmen's superb skills.Firing a large vat was extremely challenging — it required precise control of the kiln temperature to prevent deformation, resulting in a low success rate. This further highlights the high level of craftsmanship achieved at that time.

纹饰:主体是青花婴戏纹，绘孩童嬉戏场景，或玩耍、或互动，配景有树木、山石、花卉等。婴戏纹寓意"多子多福、童趣祥瑞”，是传统吉祥纹饰，反映当时对家庭美满子嗣兴旺的祈愿，画面布局满而不乱，人物神态鲜活，展现生活气息与艺术感染力。
