Porcelain Introduction: this artifact is a large yellow-ground underglaze red dragon-patterned jar (Qing Emperor Qianlong period, imitating the Ming Xuande mark). It is an exquisite traditional porcelain work modeled after the famous wares of the Ming Xuande official kilns. Through the highly challenging combined craftsmanship of "yellow ground + underglaze red", it embodies the aesthetic and cultural essence of court porcelain from the Ming and Qing dynasties.Its core craftsmanship is underglaze red, a classic underglaze color category from the Xuande period of the Ming Dynasty. It is created by painting patterns on the ceramic body with copper red pigment, covering it with transparent glaze, and then firing it at high temperature. Due to the strict requirements of copper red pigment on the firing atmosphere, the yield rate is extremely low, making it a precious variety among court porcelains. This jar uses the imperial-exclusive delicate yellow glaze as the ground color, with a smooth, glossy and even glaze surface. Over the ground color, patterns are painted in underglaze red: the main motif is a vigorous and powerful five-clawed dragon pattern, with clear details of scales and claws, exuding a majestic aura. It is accompanied by auspicious cloud patterns, lion-head handle patterns, and a thunder pattern border at the bottom. "Jingdezhen Tao Lu" (Record of Jingdezhen Ceramics) also records that for such porcelain, "not even one out of ten in a kiln can be successful".
