Porcelain Introduction: this plum vase features a typical Yuan Dynasty plum vase shape with a small mouth, short neck, full shoulders, tapering belly, and a ring foot. Its lines are smooth, plump, and vigorous. The transition from the shoulders to the belly is natural, and the lower part of the belly gradually tapers down to the ring foot. The proportions of the shape are well-balanced, highlighting the stable and imposing charm of large porcelain vases from the Yuan Dynasty.
The mouth of the vase is painted with scroll patterns, and the neck is decorated with geometric brocade ground patterns. The shoulders are adorned with blue-and-white openwork panels with sea wave patterns, featuring fine and intricate lines that remain well-organized. The main body of the vase centers on interlocking peony patterns—each peony flower is large and plump, with branches and leaves winding and spreading freely. The blue-and-white color is rich and vivid, displaying the typical rust spots and blurring characteristics of Su Ma Li Qing pigment. The bold and unrestrained brushwork of the patterns fully embodies the freehand aesthetic of Yuan Dynasty blue-and-white porcelain.
收藏统计:同款梅瓶真品全球现存世不超 15 件,此件梅瓶于 2025 年4月今成国际集团在香港一位收藏家处购买所得,元青花缠枝牡丹云肩纹梅瓶更被誉为“瓷中明珠”。
According to collection statistics, there are no more than 15 authentic Mei vases of the same type in existence worldwide. This Mei vase was purchased by Jincheng International Group at a high price from a collector in Hong Kong in April 2025.
The Yuan blue-and-white Mei vase with interlocking peony and cloud-shoulder patterns is even known as the "Pearl among Porcelains".
青花绘制:使用进口“苏麻离青”料,发色稳定带有自然晕散,这种材料与工艺的结合,成为后世难以复制的技术标杆,为明清青花工艺提供了重要借鉴。
Blue-and-White Painting: the imported "Sumaliqing" pigment was used, with stable color development and natural blurring. The combination of this material and craftsmanship became an irreproducible technical benchmark for later generations, providing an important reference for blue-and-white porcelain craftsmanship in the Ming and Qing dynasties.
Rarity determines value: the number of surviving complete artifacts of the same type is extremely small. Moreover, Yuan Dynasty blue-and-white porcelain, as a "milestone" category in the history of Chinese ceramics, has always been the focus of the collection market, with auction prices repeatedly hitting new highs.Preservation and appreciation potential: As non-renewable cultural relics, their historical and cultural information is irreplaceable. As time goes by, their academic research value and market recognition continue to rise, boasting stable value preservation and appreciation properties.
